Cat 5e solid cabling is used for a network installation within a building. This bulk cable is an integral part of a network system providing a reliable connection between the patch panel and network point. Cat 5e Drums are supplied on a fast feed drum for ease of use and secured in a strong and durable box. Printed along the cable length is a 1M indicator to assist with installation and help reduce waste.
• RJ45 CAT 5e: Transfers data at the speed of up to 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) - 100mhz frequency
• UTP: Short for Unshielded Twisted Pair. The inner cable consists of two unshielded wires twisted around each other, our CAT 5e cables are 8 core with 4 pairs of twisted wire
• 24AWG: Short for Average Wire Gauge. This relates to the thickness of the wires within the cable, the thicker the wires, the more room for data to run through the cable. NOTE The thicker the wire the lower the AWG figure.
• Solid: The solid conductor form features a single strand with each core. A much better quality cable and makes a more reliable connection for use, particularly in installations. Run up to 100M via one cable.
