Our Range of HD-SDI CCTV Cameras are capable of capturing and transmitting CCTV images at a true real time frame rate of 25 frames per second in Full HD 1080P resolution. This is some 6 times the resolution of tradional 700TVL CCTV cameras. HD-SDI CCTV cameras are no more difficult to install then a traditional CCTV camera, the only difference is that you must use RG59 coax cable or RG59 coax with the power cores attached, to link the camera to the DVR. RG59 coax was until a few years ago always used for installing CCTV cameras, lately using CAT5 cable has been popular, but I do not think it does as neat or as a reliable installation. Those of you who have existing CCTV systems that are using RG59 coax can upgrade to HD-SDI CCTV very easily, you just need to change your cameras to HD-SDI and install an HD-SDI DVR. The connections on the HD-SDI CCTV camera and HD-SDI CCTV DVRs are the same as traditional CCTV products.
