The White Light camera range records in colour day and night. Come night time or dark environments a warm white light activates to provide the camera with its own local illumination. The strength of the light increases automatically the darker the area is. 

The objective of the white light cameras is to get rid of any negative effects infrared has. Infrared is the most common night time recording method, the cameras transfer into black and white and then the camera emits an infrared light that only the camera can see. The only illumination seen on most cameras is a faint red glow. Infrared has its downsides and that is why White Light cameras have been designed.
